Key Tattoo

So you want a tattoo with some meaning, but what do you want it to say about you? If you want to be mysteriousness, and let people know that you have something great inside, you may want to consider getting key tattoos.

The sky is the limit when it comes to designs. You can reference old timey keys, or use sharp tribal patterns to set out a vicious shape. Small Key tattoos can easily be hidden in public, or you can incorporate keys into a larger design with ease.

A standard dragon tattoo can become a lot more unique if it is clutching onto an ornate key. Straight lines of the addition can end up enhancing and adding direction to another design. Lock and key tattoos often symbolizes the locking together of two people. Usually this refers to couples, sisters, or friends. For added effect the lock or key usually incorporates a heart somewhere in its design. This is not always the case though. If you see someone with a lock and key tattoo, ask them what it means to them. Most people are more than thrilled to talk about their tattoos.

If you have never gotten a tattoo before, add a key or other small symbol into the design. Some simple planning can go a long way. Ask the artist to start with outlining and inking in the smaller design. This way if you'll have a place where you can take a break, or quit while still having a nice (albeit smaller) tattoo.

Keep in mind, if you're not happy with your tattoo, the time and money you spent on it will not be your only concern. Fixing or removing tattoos is a painful process which can leave scaring that looks worse than the original design. Be sure to take all the time you need before you dive in. Try experimenting with different designs on paper, and be sure that the picture you love now, is something you will still love next decade.
